Use of manipulation, bribery or intimidation is not only destructive to our relationship with the dog, but even separates us further from each other. Our bond with our dogs must be based on equality, respect and reciprocity.
I do not use rewards and punishments to force dogs to comply with rules or to “fix” unwanted behavior. I believe that each dog is on the way to developing self discipline and that the rewards should be intrinsic.

Hi, I am Katerina
certified dog trainer, coach for dog parents and proud dog mom.
I was born and raised in Siberia, surrounded by wonderful nature, two dogs and horses.
After finishing my Business Administration studies at the University of Bern, I worked for several bigger corporations, where my daily job was determined by Excel-Sheets and Power-Point presentations. Not very satisfying.
In 2019 Australian Labradoodle lady Ginger stepped into my life.
She made me rediscover my passion for dogs. This was the moment I realized I needed to step out of the corporate comfort zone and follow my own dream. That’s when the idea of the dog daycare PUP AFFAIR was born (which found new owners in Adrian and Patrizia in 2022).
The next step in my journey was the creation of my own dog school for humans: BEYOND THE BOND.
With BEYOND THE BOND I want to break conventional “dog training” patterns and show people that raising the dog does not need to be difficult.
I am also approved by VetAmt Zürich to provide mandatory puppy and young-&-adult courses of canton Zurich.
